Walter C. Young Implements Retirement Strategy Through The Fifth Option Consulting and Launch of Book Titled The Fifth Option
Seattle, Washington–(Newsfile Corp. – April 21, 2022) – The Fifth Option announces a new retirement strategy to help circumvent the frustrating four options traditionally given to people when navigating retirement. Founder Walter C. Young III is redefining retirement planning by empowering people to veer away from traditional retirement planning.
“My background in corporate finance helps bring the principles of well-run corporation use. Well-run companies are charged with optimizing shareholder value. This is a cash flow approach. Personal finance is mostly balance sheet focused,” Young revealed. “You cannot spend a balance sheet in retirement. It must be turned into cash, and how efficient you are at doing this will largely dictate your retirement enjoyment.”
Walter began his career in the financial services industry in the early 1990s. After finishing his MBA, he worked for Deloitte Consulting and began to see impressive financial strategies that allowed him to weigh various approaches. He soon realized that the best-run corporations put a high premium on reducing overall risk and opportunity cost while maximizing cash flow for shareholder value. He developed a distinct financial planning approach that helped countless clients achieve financial success.

Our solutions are rooted in academia and evidenced-based in well-run corporations. The result is a cash flow-centric process that optimizes how retirement income can be generated,” he added.
