New York Digital Signage Week is a Fitting Backdrop

Toronto, Ontario–(Newsfile Corp. – October 3, 2022) – The Canadian Out-of-Home Marketing and Measurement Bureau (COMMB), the trusted source for Canadian OOH market insights for advertisers, agencies, media owners and programmatic tech-stack members, will elevate sustainability curricula during Digital Signage Week in New York City (October 10-14).

Amanda Dorenberg, COMMB’s president, will be sharing insights with industry leaders by co-moderating an interactive panel discussion from the United Nations headquarters.

COMMB’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) plan includes a variety of special events with a focus on sustainability within their programming offerings, including COMMB Talks, an engaging educational forum for thought leaders to share their perspectives on relevant issues within the out-of-home (OOH) industry. Interactive webinars, and in-person discussions focusing on CSR and DEI, and sustainable activities in the creation and distribution of out-of-home marketing content will be featured.

Dorenberg will be joined on the UN panel by co-moderator Dominic-Madori Davis, TechCrunch senior reporter, and curated industry experts: Lisa Peterson, owner of Aftan Engineering; Keith Kaplan, global CEO of Kinetic Worldwide; and Douglas Ragan, management officer for the UN-Habitat, the United Nations’ Human Settlements Program.

“It’s an honor to represent COMMB by co-chairing this illustrious panel,” Dorenberg said. “It’s a testament to COMMB members’ willingness to build and expand their sustainability efforts. This programming is part of our commitment to provide resources and educate the OOH advertising industry on how it can make a real difference in the world. It will lay the groundwork and spur creative approaches to ensuring a cleaner, greener, healthier planet.”

The panel is expected to address the pressing issues behind the understanding and adoption of sustainable practices, as well as the reasons behind continued customer and employee expectations that companies take leading roles in fostering social cooperation and environmental stewardship.

This sustainability programming is a sought-after addition to the COMMB Talks series and will reinforce the organization’s earlier work in promoting sustainable practices. Along with their previously established DEI Committee (founded earlier this year), COMMB is committed to their ongoing plans to institute programming focused on realistic and positive changes that the industry can implement.
